'Murder' police investigating the disappearance of a retired Edinburgh teacher believe to be dead, are hoping to track down a car.
Peter Coshan vanished from Seafield Road in Edinburgh at around 11:50 pm on Thursday, August 11. The former Fettes college teacher was reported missing the next day.
While the 75-year-old has not yet been traced, officers think the pensioner is dead. They are treating his disappearance as 'murder'.
Paul Black, also known as Joseph Hillary, aged 63, and 27-year-old Paul McNaughton have been charged in connection with the alleged incident and appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, August 18. Both men were also charged with theft and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.

According to the Daily Record, detectives are now appealing to the public in a bid to trace a car. They believe the motor was in the Scottish Borders and Northumberland area of England between Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 of August.
The movements of the older style, dark coloured Vauxhall Vectra, with a 57 registration plate, is understood to be central to the investigation. Officers are urging the public to consider if they saw something unusual during those days.
Detective Superintendent Andrew Patrick said: “This is obviously a very distressing time for Peter's family and our priority is to find him. I am therefore seeking the public’s help in trying to find Peter's body.
“I am appealing for anyone who may have been in the Scottish Borders and Northumberland, including travelling on the A7, the A68 or any other roads in these areas, during the hours of darkness on Monday, August 15 and Tuesday, August 16."
