An Edinburgh mum, who travels to the Sick Kids hospital twice a week with her disabled daughter, was left fuming after an 'inconsiderate' vandal keyed their car in an empty car park.
Kirsty Watt took to social media after she discovered the new wheelchair accessible vehicle the family waited 14 months for had been targeted by careless yobs in a supermarket car park.
The mum was visiting Marks and Spencers at the Gyle on Monday evening with her 14-year-old daughter who has complex needs.

When leaving the store she was horrified to see the brand new car had been slashed across the whole passenger side which will now need to be resprayed and repaired.
The fuming mum wrote: "I visited M&S at the Gyle later this evening (from 4:50pm until 7pm) with my daughter who has complex needs.
"The car park was quiet and we got a disabled space outside the food hall exit of M&S. My daughter has a blue badge.
"My 14-year-old daughter, who is admitted to the Sick Kids approx fortnightly at the moment, has had to wait 14 months for a new Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle, which will hopefully make our lives a little easier."
She continued: "It arrived less than a fortnight ago and when we were going home I found that some inconsiderate, selfish bandit has taken a key or similar implement to the whole length of passenger side rear access door.
"To say I am angry is an understatement!!! I checked against the size of a trolley but no, wrong height so definitely looks like a key/sharp implement.

"If the car park had been jam packed I may have thought it was an accident but this is sheer mindless vandalism and whoever did this cowardly deed should be ashamed of themselves.
"So on top of my daughter’s constant ill health due to complex epilepsy I now have to arrange for a repair and re spray!
"Beware if you park at the Gyle, your car may also be vandalised and if you saw anything please report it as I have to report it to the Police tomorrow."
Kirsty has reported the incident to police who have been contacted for more information by Edinburgh Live.
