Edinburgh Monarchs’ hopes of building a new stadium in Livingston have been dashed after West Lothian Council sold the land to another bidder.

The SGB Championship side have been given notice to vacate their current Armadale Stadium home and had hoped to purchase land in Livingston for a new multi-purpose West Lothian Community Stadium.

However, their plans have now been derailed leaving them with an uncertain future.
