Edinburgh man says he 'needs to see doctor' after discovery in Chinese takeaway

Now we have all been in the position of wanting to tuck into a tasty takeaway treat on our weekend after a hard week's graft.

But one Edinburgh man was left throwing up in his toilet after chewing down on a used plaster that he found in a beef dish from an Edinburgh Chinese takeaway.

Przemek, 19, from Leith has said that he has tried to contact the eatery to complain but that their number just rings out.

He suspects the plaster came from a member of staff preparing his food and has said he may have to seek medical attention out of fear of becoming ill.

On his ordeal, he said: “Tonight my partner and I decided to order some food online due to tiredness and lack of food at home.

“We ordered food from a Chinese restaurant, with my partner and I having vegetable fried rice and beef fillet with black pepper and honey sauce.

“During the meal I struggled to chew the food so I took it out of my mouth and found that what I was struggling to chew was actually a used plaster that was stuck together like a ring.

“I’m assuming it must have fallen off of a cooks finger or someone else that was preparing the food, god knows who's.

“I literally threw up in the toilet straight away, that's how disgusted I was by this horrible experience and I think I should see the doctor for a check up in case I am poisoned.

“I've sent a photo of it as proof. I tried to contact the restaurant through the phone number provided by JustEat but I received no answer.

“I’m also planning on contacting Edinburgh Council - I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life.”

The restaurant was contacted for comment.
