Love Island star Jay Younger has landed back in Edinburgh after being dumped from the villa, and has broken his silence on Jacques O'Neill's shocking exit.
Jay, 28, and Jacques, 23, always got on well in the villa despite the Scotsman's best attempts to steal Paige Thorne away from the rugby star. Despite his unsuccessful efforts, Jay has branded Jacques a "good boy" ahead of his shocking exit on Tuesday night's episode.
After getting back his social media from his brother, Jay said: "Tough watching Jacques leave the villa tonight, he's a really good boy. I can really empathise with how he's feeling. I'm sure I'll see him on the outside, but I feel for the boy. Good luck Jacques, all the best bro I'll see you soon."
Jay, and partner Chyna Mills, 23, were dumped by their fellow islanders on Monday nights episode. The remaining islanders had to choose between Jay and Chyna, and Dami and Summer, as the two couples who had the fewest votes from the public.
After the dumping on Monday night, the guys were treated to a spa day while the girls were left at the villa. In the next shocking, never before been done twist, season four islander Adam Collard re-entered the villa.
Adam, 26, wasted no time in getting to know the girls and pulled Paige, Tasha, Gemma and Ekin-Su away for chats. Once the guys had returned, Jacques was noticeably rattled after bombshell Adam insinuated the sportsman was immature.
After finding out about Adam's remarks, Jacques calls Paige over for a chat and starts by saying: "Who the f***'s he? Just another geezer what has been on the show? He's nothing, mate. Do you know what I mean?"
A slightly confused Paige tells him to "keep that in mind" but an increasingly agitated Jacques demands to know: "Why do I need to keep that in mind?" Paige explains: "Because you don't need to rise to it and be, like bitey with it, do you know what I mean? Like, what does it actually change? Nothing."
Jacques says: "You know what I get like, if a boy's going to chat s**t behind my back, I don't f*****g have it." On Tuesday night's episode, Jacques explained the following day that as much as he liked Paige, he felt like he couldn't be the best version of himself whilst living in the Spanish villa.
"You mean so much to me, you know that. I've been trying to put a brave face on but things are getting to me," he told Paige as he fought back tears. Basically, like, I just wish I could finish my journey off with you in here, but I'm gonna go home today," he continued as Paige burst into tears too.
