Residents in the Roseburn area have reported spotting a number of rats at the entrance to the local park.
Edinburgh Live understands multiple residents have spotted the vermin in groups, at the entrance to Roseburn Park. According to locals, the problem has been going on for a number of weeks.
Residents have also claimed to have seen poison as well as dead rats and foxes in the area. Over in Gorgie, one local said they spotted a mass of dead vermin on the old railway behind Hutchinson.

At Roseburn Park, neighbours in the area claim to have seen piles of 'bird feed' and believe they are being purposefully left there to feed the rats.
One resident, who preferred to remain anonymous, said: "In this instance, there’s no mystery. It’s one person who feeds the rats and birds despite various complaints."
Last month, the council's pest control team were called out to the city's West Retail Park, Chesser, after one local spotted a dead rat outside a local café. After several other sightings in the area, a live baiting programme was initiated.
Locals also reported seeing rats in the Moat Street and Slateford Road area at the same time, with the council saying an active baiting programme is in progress and anyone who finds evidence of burrowing is encouraged to get in touch to report the issue.
The City of Edinburgh Council was approached for comment.
