Edinburgh locals are not letting snow stop them from trying out the city’s latest fast food restaurant as queues formed ahead of their grand opening today.
In total, 50 new Jollibee restaurants are opening across Europe over the next four years as part of a massive multi-million expansion.
Jollibee Edinburgh are opening their new Princes Street restaurant today and had promised that the first 100 customers would receive a gift bag, with their mascot also set to make an appearance and the eatery also hired a photo booth for the occasion.

Eager punters formed a queue from early at the new restaurant this morning, located within the old Santander bank, hoping to be first in line to get one of the goody bags, despite the adverse weather.
Edinburgh punters were excited when Edinburgh Live broke the news that the restaurant would open today (February 24).
Jollibee is known for its crispy fried chicken, burgers and spaghetti with an exotic twist and operates more than 1,200 restaurants around the world.
The firm’s best-sellers include: the Chickenjoy – a crispy fried chicken made with a family-secret marinade, Jolly Spaghetti, made with a Filipino inspired sweet sauce and layers of cheese and hot dog slices, and the Jollibee Chicken Burger, priced at just £3.99.
When they opened their London restaurant there were also lines of customers queuing up outside keen tog et their hands on some free gifts.
Jollibee Edinburgh will serve Halal meats and will offer the same menu at their other restaurants.
They say they will not be offering a takeaway service at this stage but ask customers to keep an eye on their website for updates.
