A yellow weather warning for Edinburgh has been extended, as the snow and ice is set to cause widespread disruption.
The capital is currently under a weather alert lasting for five days, set in place by forecasters at the Met Office. Snow showers and hailstorms will cause issues for those travelling to and from the capital, with sub-zero temperatures creating icy patches on both roads and pavements.
An additional warning for snow was also issued on Monday, continuing from Thursday morning until 6pm on Friday, March 10, with forecasters stating that "heavy snow has the potential to cause significant disruption on Thursday and Friday."
