Proposals for a stunning modern home in the grounds of a house in Cramond have been lodged with council chiefs - 14 years after the development was first approved.
City planning bosses initially rubber stamped early blueprints for the dwelling on Barnton Road West in March 2008, however designs for the property have only been unveiled in the past week.
The natural stone and copper clad building will feature a private gym and TV room alongside an enormous garage with space for up to eight vehicles.

Designs for the building submitted to City of Edinburgh Council show a two-level property surrounded by a shield of trees to protect it from the nearby road.
According to a floor plan, owners will also be able to benefit from a private steam room, three double bedrooms and a master with an attached en-suite bathroom.
Exits to a private, enclosed patio will be made through two sets of French doors fully opening the lower level to the outdoors.
