Edinburgh holidaymakers issued Spain travel warning as 48 beaches hit with 'black flag'

Holidaymakers from Edinburgh planning on heading to Spain this summer have been issued a warning after 48 beaches have been hit with by a 'black flag' for pollution.

Beaches along the holiday hotspot have been issued with a 'black flag' for pollution and dog poo, as well as a warning for chemical spills and invasive developments, a damning report has revealed.

A list of beaches were named by Spanish environmental campaign group, Ecologists in Action, which slammed authorities for not looking after the coastal areas.
