Edinburgh Gin is bringing back its cosy winter mulled gin lantern this festive season in a new colour hue. Last year, the distillers came up with their own Mulled Gin Liqueur using mulled wine, traditional tastes of cinnamon, clove, orange, nutmeg and ginger alongside the botanicals from Edinburgh Classic Gin.
And you can now join in the fun in 2022 with the drink that can be tried warm, resembling a mulled wine liqueur, or with tonic in the most traditional of fashions, or chilled with red sparkling wine and blackberries for a twist on a festive gin fizz. And in another real festive twist, the packaging turns into a Christmas lantern with added lights glistening through the little windows and representing a snowy Edinburgh scene.
This year's special edition tin is coloured gold. Priced at £16.50, shoppers will no doubt be chomping at the bit to get their hands on their own bottle before they run out of stock. It is available through Tesco, John Lewis, Edinburgh Gin. and independent retailers.
