Edinburgh residents fighting to turn an old bowling green into a community garden say they are "extremely relieved" after a couple's plan to convert the clubhouse into a family home was turned down again.
Members of Pilrig's Tramways Community Garden project welcomed the decision as councillors voted in their favour at a council planning meeting yesterday.
One said afterwards they still hoped to "come to some agreement with the owners" and buy the historic Leith bowling green, which was sold-off by Lothian Buses in 2020.
