A Festival Fringe show will be drawing in customers and promoting recycling with a unique new way to promote their show.
Locals can pass on a plastic spoon to get one free ticket to the new show at the Gilded Balloon, appropriately called Spoons. The special plastic promotion will run from August 13 until August 20, just be sure to get to the box office before the show starts at 6pm.
The new show was written by television writer Jon Canter, who has worked with a host of people in the British television industry from Dawn French and Richard Wilson to Fry and Laurie and Lenny Henry. The play is directed by Paul Schleisinger- who is known for Twenty Twelve and People Like Us.

The play follows a marriage counsellor who, after 35 years helping couples put an end to their relationship problems, has finally had enough and wants to turn the tables on them. Described as a “fun, sharp and touching” comedy show, it’s bound to put a smile on your face.
The hour-long show will be running downstairs at the Gilded Balloon’s Patter House on Chambers Street from August 11 until August 28.
Promoting the show on their Fringe listing, the producers said: “How can spoons save your relationship? Find out in this sharp, funny and touching play about a couples counsellor's revenge. 'More people are talking more about themselves than at any time in history,' says Brenda.
"And she should know – she's spent 35 years with couples bickering and raging in front of her. Now it's time for Brenda to turn the tables on them”
