An Edinburgh Fringe venue producer has been left devastated after heartless thieves made off with his beloved Vespa.
Darrell Martin, was in the process of putting away his rare Vespa p200 Speciale when it was taken from outside his flat on Learmonth Terrace.
The theft of the vehicle, which has black and white panels and mudguard took place on Thursday 21 at around 10:40pm.

Darrel says that this is not the first time that this has happened to him, having had the same model stolen in the past.
On a post on his Facebook, he said: “On Thursday at 10.40pm my Vespa p200 Speciale was nicked from outside our flat, literally as I was going out to put it away.
“It is black with white panels and a mudguard with a reg ST52 OHE.
“After a lot of running around the streets, I was outside when the s**ts came back on it. The police went after them but were told to stand down.
“They ride around without helmets so the police won’t chase them. Can you imagine how frustrating that is?
“So…looks like the number 357 of 400 made is probably no more.
“But if you hear anything, Edinburgh scooter people, let me know, it was last seen on cycle path on Craigmillar shopping estate.
“Any info leading to the recovery of the vehicle will be rewarded with a day out for two at Just the Tonic venues.
“Unless it’s actually the thieves themselves.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a theft of a moped from Learmonth Terrace, Edinburgh, around 10.40pm on 21 July, 2022.
“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 4069 of 21 July, 2022.”
