Firefighters remain in attendance at Edinburgh's Royal Mile following a blaze within a popular city centre pub on Thursday afternoon.
Following reports of a burning smell and smoke coming from the Royal Mile Tavern around 12.48pm on February 9, more than ten appliances were mobilised to the scene.
Pictures captured from the High Street area show clouds of black smoke coming from the pub, with access to the Royal Mile between St Mary's and Blackfriars currently cordoned off by police.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed that there are no reported casualties following the blaze.
One eye witness at the time said: “It’s coming from the tavern, I think it started in the kitchen somewhere and there’s still loads of smoke coming out.
"There’s firefighters in there at the moment and at first they thought it could be gas. It’s devastating seeing another fire shortly after the one at Jenners.”
Another passer-by Stanley Rillie, 80, told Edinburgh Live how he passed at 11am and saw three ambulances close by. He added: "The smoke was pouring out of the building around 1pm. It’s devastating - I'd just been to see the tributes at Jenners earlier in the day."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 12.48pm on Thursday, 9 February to reports of a smell of burning and smoke coming from a commercial building at High Street, Edinburgh.
“Operations Control have now mobilised ten appliances to the scene, including a height vehicle, and crews remain in attendance working to extinguish the fire. There are no reported casualties”
