The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a residential property in the Old Town of Edinburgh.
At 7.19am on Thursday February 23, three fire appliances and a height appliance scrambled to a property on Cockburn Street, opposite Stills, the Art Gallery.
Smoke was seen coming from the building near council offices and firefighters scrambled to the scene this morning.

Once arrived, SFRS say they expect the smoke to be steam from a boiler that was seen, not smoke. By 8pm, all but one appliance returned to their base.
A spokesperson from Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We received a call at 7.19am on Thursday February 23. Smoke was seen coming out of a building on Cockburn street near a council offices.
"Three fire appliances and a height appliance attended the scene. It is expected it is steam from a boiler and one appliance is still at the scene waiting for entry into the building. The rest have come back."
