Edinburgh fire crews have raced to a raging inferno on the capital's Calton Hill as thick billowing smoke can be seen across city.
The emergency services were alerted to the incident at around 3pm on Sunday June 26 and sped to the scene of a large gorse fire on the hill.

Concerned local residents shared shocking pictures and videos across social media showing the huge fire burning at the A1 roundabout entrance to the hill.
Shocking videos show the city centre hill being engulfed in furious orange flames metres from the old Royal High School building on Regents Road.
There are currently no reports of people in danger due to the fire but hero fire fighters remain at the site battling the blaze.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they were at an ongoing incident on Calton Hill battling a large gorse fire with four appliances in attendance and have been at the scene since 3:15pm.
