Edinburgh emergency services have rushed to the coast following in a reported search and rescue operation.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that at 12.27pm, they arrived at Cramond foreshore with one appliance where police, ambulance service and RNLI were also in attendance.
While the fire service are no longer at the scene, RNLI said that a lifeboat from the Queensferry station is currently in the water but were unable to give any more information at this time.

A concerned eyewitness said that there was a 'search' ongoing in the area.
A spokesperson from HM Coastguard said: "HM Coastguard is assisting Police Scotland with an incident in the Granton Beach area of Edinburgh today (February 10). After the call out at 12.15pm, Coastguard Rescue Teams from South Queensferry and Kinghorn and an inshore lifeboat from South Queensferry RNLI were sent to the scene. The Scottish Ambulance Service is also in attendance."
A spokesperson for the RNLI said: "Queensferry RNLI were tasked by the UK Coastguard this afternoon (10 February) to support with an ongoing incident off the coast of Silverknowes. The lifeboat arrived on scene and supported Police, Ambulance and Coastguard colleagues before returning to the station shortly before 3.30pm."
Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to the foreshore off Marine Drive, near Silverknowes Beach, Edinburgh, shortly after midday on Friday, 10 February, following a report of a man entering the water.
“The man was rescued from the water and has been taken to hospital by the ambulance service. Officers remain at the scene.”
