A vibrant restaurant and bar known for its legendary Mexican twist on a Sunday roast is set to open in the capital this weekend.
The team behind El Jefe's, which has several sites across Glasgow and has built up a huge following thanks to its epic Mexican dishes and drinks, has announced that it will be opening up on Nicolson Street across from Festival Theatre on Saturday, July 1.
The tequila bar and taqueria is known for tacos, quesadillas, nachos and dirty fries, will be open until midnight (and later during the Festival).
El Jefe's also regularly goes viral on sites like TikTok and Instagram for its iconic Mexican Sunday Roasts and has an extensive drinks menu packed with the likes of tequila shots and chasers and frozen margaritas.

The new restaurant will feature a colourful mural created by a top Glasgow graffiti artist.
And during the Festival they also confirmed they'll be doing takeaway cocktails for people to enjoy.
Speaking about the move to Edinburgh, El Jefe's co-owner Jamie Lessani said: " From the heart of Mexico to the streets of Edinburgh, El Jefes brings an explosion of flavours that will leave the city craving for more. Prepare to have taste buds dancing with delight! Tacos & Tequila, what’s not to love?"
