A troublesome Edinburgh junction has yet again been the centre of attention as drivers continue to flout new road signs and travel down a busy street the wrong way.
In recent months, local councillors, police and residents have raised concerns over drivers turning left or right onto Brunswick Road, off Leith Walk, as fines have been issued to dozens of drivers for ignoring road signs.
On Friday, December 16, the Trams to Newhaven team tweeted about a new road layout aimed at stopping drivers turning onto the street from Leith Walk, although locals were quick to point out that it had not worked so far.

The Trams to Newhaven team tweeted: "Traffic management at Brunswick Road have been changed from today. Temporary traffic lights have been removed from the junction with the new permanent lights installed.
"Traffic will now head west on Brunswick Road towards Leith Walk."
Several users replied to the tweet pointing to the fact that they recorded drivers ignoring several cones and a no entry sign to drive down the street on the wrong side of the road.
Accompanied by a video of drivers appearing to flout the law, one user said: "I've been at junction five minutes and have seen 11 drivers go the wrong way down Brunswick Road."
To large no entry signs have been installed either side of the junction, as well as several orange cones positioned on one side of the road in an attempt to prevent road users turning on to the street.
Drivers remain permitted to travel down the street and onto Leith Walk, but not vice versa. Cyclist are also allowed to turn onto Brunswick Road.
Another image and tweet uploaded captured the moment a van driver almost collided with a cyclist as they took the illegal route down the street, seemingly ignoring the cones and no entry signs.
At the end of October, Edinburgh Live reported how Trams to Newhaven were to install new traffic management solutions to tackle the issue. Temporary traffic lights were put in place as a stop-gap solution to the problem.
One local spoke of the countless times he was nearly knocked of his bicycle despite a green man being shown at the junction connecting Brunswick Road and Leith Walk.
The City of Edinburgh Council have been approached for comment.
