An Edinburgh driver was rushed to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on a busy road which saw it closed for hours.
Emergency services rushed to Commercial Street in Leith shortly before 8pm on Monday, January 30, following reports of a multi-vehicle collision which resulted in the road being taped off in both directions.
Motorists, including multiple buses, were diverted away from the incident which resulted in one driver being taken to hospital by ambulance. Nobody else involved sustained any injuries.

Police say the road later opened at 11:10pm following recovery recovery. No further details on the injured driver's age or gender have been disclosed at this time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 7.55pm on Monday, 30 January, to a report of a two car crash on Commercial Street, Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended and the driver of one of the cars was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. No one else was injured.
“The road was closed while vehicle recovery took place and re-opened around 11.10pm.”
