Edinburgh dog found 'wandering' neighbourhood taken in by local police

An adorable Edinburgh dog has been recovered by police after she was found lost at the weekend.

Edinburgh officers at the Drylaw Police Station have issued an appeal to reunite the pooch with her owner after she was found alone on Sunday (March 27.)

Discovered by a member of the public, the white ball of fluff was first seen running around the Easter Drylaw area shortly after 1pm.

Instantly concerned, the individual had checked for a nearby owner, before bringing the dog to the local police station, where she is now being looked after.

"She is miniature poodle type dog with her fringe in a pony tail. She doesn't have a collar. She is micro-chipped however we have checked with a local vet and the chip is foreign.

"If your recognise this dog, please call 101 and quote incident number 1539 of 27 March 2022 and we can reunite the dog with her owner(s)."
