An new Edinburgh delivery service has launched in the capital today supporting independent restaurants and only using environmentally friendly delivery methods.
New takeaway courier Foodstuff have chosen the capital as their first Scottish location and launched their 'no emissions' ethical in the city today.
The business differs from large companies like Deliveroo and Uber Eats because their cyclists are paid living wage, employed directly by the business. There is also a bonus structure and benefits package for the riders as well.

The innovative business only works with independent restaurants and have some star spots signed up so far including Smoke and Soul based at the Fierce Bar on Rose Street, Tupinquim Brasil Crepes that serve from the colourful police box at the top of Middle Meadow Walk and Considerit Artisan plant based doughnut cafe.

A plus to the suave new app is Edinburgh residents can now order from many of their favourite small businesses straight to their door for the first time ever.
Foodstuff has launched in a number of cities down south and have launched from today in Edinburgh, their ethos is to redefine delivery for quality independent restaurants and use eco-friendly riders that are treated fairly.
Founders, James and Toby said they came up with the idea after spotting problems in the industry: extortionate fees for restaurants, low quality food options, poor working conditions for delivery drivers and a huge amount of carbon emissions.

The pair said: "The food delivery space needs a darn good shake-up! Independent restaurants aren't getting a fair deal, delivery workers are being treated badly and CO2 emissions are out of control.
"We're launching with 20 Edinburgh restaurants already signed up and ready for the 17th including Hendersons, Pizza Geeks, Shinsen Sushi and Antojito's plus lots more.
"We started as a couple of pals on bikes in Cambridge has now scaled to Bristol, Bath, Manchester and Oxford too. Edinburgh is next!"
Foodstuff launched in Cambridge in May 2020 showcasing independent restaurants and treating them fairly, which really hit home with local foodies.
