A father and son were horrified at the state of the KFC restaurant on Whitehill Road that left them unable to get a seat and claim they were forced to hand back uncooked chicken to staff.
Bobby Nwanze was visiting the KFC branch at the popular fast food chain on the evening of October 28 and said that some customers took matters into their own hands by cleaning tables so that they could sit down.
He captured footage of the mess that was strewn across the eatery in a tweet that he shared on social media.

The freelance sports journalist said that he sympathised with staff members but called on the global company to do something about the state of the fast food chain.
In the video, leftover boxes, food and general mess can be seen lying across tables in what appears to be a relatively empty KFC.
In another video shared by Bobby, a woman could be seen cleaning a table so that she could eat a meal at a table that was not covered in other peoples’ rubbish.
In his tweets, he said: “KFC Fort Kinnard….I couldn’t sit down to eat with my son and had to hand back my uncooked chicken. @kfc have a word.”
He added: “I do feel for some of their staff, don't get me wrong, but check this woman who asked for cleaning stuff to clean a desk to eat at.”
One Twitter user responded to the Tweet by saying: "Bobby this is literally the worst place on earth, I complained about it a couple years ago for the same reason."
Another said: "Agree it should be cleared up but is it not common decency to put your own rubbish in the bin once you’ve finished eating?"
Whilst one user commented: "Place is filthy we were in there last night, staff are so rude as well, chicken was also undercooked, place should be shut down."
KFC apologised for the state of the restaurant and said that pressures relating to staffing issues were to blame. But they acknowledged that despite this, the standards of cleanliness fell well below their standards.
A spokesperson for the company said: “It’s no excuse but like many other local businesses, we’ve been facing staff shortages at our Kinnaird Park restaurant which has put some strain on the team during busy periods.
“These pictures definitely don’t meet the Colonel’s high standards and we’re really sorry to hear our roost hasn’t looked up to scratch.
“We have strict procedures and rotas in place to ensure our restaurants are kept squeaky clean including table clearing and sanitisation so we’ve reminded our team members of the importance of this so it doesn’t happen again.”
