If you’ve ever dreamed of fulfilling your creative needs while floating down a peaceful canal, you’re in luck.
A new event is offering the chance to enjoy a crafting session led by a local artist as you head down the Union Canal. Held by the Fountainbridge Canalside Community Trust, the hour long event leaves from Edinburgh Quay and returns to the same spot.
The price of the ticket includes the boat cruise, creative workshop, all the materials, and refreshments onboard.

Ahead of the event, organisers said: “This event is an hour cruise on the Lochrin Belle canal boat.
“The boat will leave promptly from Edinburgh Quay and return to the same location. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the start time.
“The price of the ticket includes: the canal boat cruise, artist led creative craft workshop , all materials you will need. Refreshments will be served.”
“Pre-booking essential. Ticket must be purchased for every child 3 years old and over and all adults attending. Babies and children under 3 are free, but please contact us before the event to ensure we have enough capacity.”
“T here is a toilet on board. We can cater for people reduced mobility.
“Due to weather conditions and safety concerns the event might be static.”
