Edinburgh Connect Festival and everything you need to know ahead of music event

Connect Festival is returning to Scotland this weekend, kicking off at The Royal Highland Centre on Friday, August 26.

The festival unites some of the most influential and pioneering names in music from around the world with some of Scotland’s up and comers. Connect Festival hasn’t been put on in over ten years, with the last events held at Inveraray Castle in Argyll in 2007 and 2008.

This time, organisers say it’s back and ‘better than ever’. We’ve got everything you need to know about whose performing, how to get tickets, timings and more.

Tickets

Tickets are available on the website.

General Admission begins at £65 plus booking fees for a day ticket, or a three-day ticket for £165 plus booking fees. VIP day tickets are priced at £95 plus booking fees, or a VIP three-day ticket is available for £240.

Travel

Car parking at the festival is available for £10 per day on Ticketmaster. The nearest tram stop is a 25-minute walk away, or is accessible through the festival’s free shuttle bus.

Happy buses are available from various points across Scotland from Hamilton to Helensburgh or Glenrothes. Prices start at £16.

Additionally, the Airlink buses run regularly from both Glasgow and Edinburgh and drop off near the festival site.

Timings

The car parks at the festival are open from 8am on Friday, August 26 until midday on Monday, August 29. The arena is open from midday until 10.30pm each day.

If you’re camping, the campsite is open from Friday, August 26 at 9am until Monday, August 29 at 11am.

Age policy

The festival doesn’t allow anyone under the age of five, and anyone between the age of five and fifteen must be accompanied by someone over the age of 21. They’ve asked anyone with a child to print out a guardianship form, and pass it to a member of staff on entry.
