A man has been rushed to hospital following a four-vehicle pile-up on a busy dual carriageway near Edinburgh on Thursday morning.
Emergency services rushed to the A1 near Wallyford shortly before 8am on April 6 following a collision involving a HGV, one van and two cars. Police say a man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
They added a 22-year-old male will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with road traffic offences. Another man was given treatment by paramedics at the scene.

The road, connecting Edinburgh and East Lothian, has since re-opened as traffic was briefly halted following the rush-hour incident. Commuters faced heavy delays in the area, with Traffic Scotland warning those nearby to approach with caution.
Tweeting just before 9:30am on April 6, Traffic Scotland said: "UPDATE: 09:17 A1 Wallyford. The Northbound carriageway remains restricted due to an earlier collision. Police and TRISS are in attendance.
"Traffic remains heavy on approach, with 20 minute delays above normal."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a crash involving four vehicles on the A1 northbound near to the Wallyford junction, at around 7.45am on Thursday, 6 April, 2023.
"A man was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment and a man received treatment at the scene.
"A 22-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for road traffic offences. The road was fully re-opened around 9.25am."
