An eagle eyed passerby has spotted that pizza chain Vapiano’s Edinburgh restaurant announced they will close after five years of operating in Edinburgh’s city centre.
The fresh pasta, pizza and salad eatery and bar has placed a note on their glass entrance doors to alert customers that they will no longer be operating in the capital.
With restaurants in London and Manchester, the pizza chain opened their restaurant five years ago on South St David Street.

White coverings have been put up along the sides of the former Vapiano business which have blocked pedestrians from being able to look in.
It is not yet known what will move into the now vacant space that has been left by the Italian business.
The sign on their entrance reads: “Really sorry, this restaurant has now closed.
“We’d like to thank everyone who has joined us for our fresh pasta and pizza over the last five years.
“It has been an absolute pleasure to welcome you in.
“Until next time…
“Team Vapiano."
