Edinburgh Christmas Markets named as 'most Instagrammable' in the UK

Edinburgh's Christmas Markets have been named as the 'most Instagrammable' in the UK after impressing tourists and locals with its aesthetic look.

A staple of the city centre every festive season, the capital has been given the title after the stalls beat out similar markets in locations such as London, Glasgow and Bath.

Surrounded by stunning architecture and located with castle as its backdrop, the Edinburgh markets received over 44,483 mentions on Instagram, with visitors sharing their snaps of the event.

It comes as the full plans for the Edinburgh Christmas 2022 events were announced last week, with a new covered ice rink to take centre stage on George Street.
