An Edinburgh carer has said that their clients are being endangered due to tailbacks that are being caused by drivers ignoring roadwork signage at Craigleith Retail Park.
Scottish Power works are currently being carried out on Queensferry Road and diversions are in place until the works are completed.
At the moment road signs are in place directing drivers, coming east to west, not to make a right hand turn into Craigleith.

Despite this, many drivers are still attempting to make the turn which is leading to tailbacks during busy periods.
A carer, who wishes to remain anonymous, says that they can be delayed for up to 20 minutes at a time.
They added that this happens around four times a day and has a negative impact on those that they care for as they are unable to give medicine at specified times and some clients are left desperate for the toilet.
“It delays me four times a day getting to a patient. This then has a knock on effect on other patients.
“One day last week I was delayed over 20 mins just with drivers ignoring road signs.
“I did talk to Edinburgh City Council and ask them to add more signage and they said that they had passed the message on.
“Roadworks are inevitable however the council needs to look at the bigger issues they cause.
“Having roadworks on many local roads at the same time is just ridiculous. I understand if it’s an emergency but this can’t go on.
“It can mean clients are late at getting medication. If they have had a fall in their home they would be waiting longer without help.
“They may be desperate to use the bathroom and arriving after the normal time may result in them wetting themselves.”
A video shared with Edinburgh Live appears to show motorists ignoring the traffic signs that have been put in place by Scottish Power.
A spokesperson for Edinburgh City Council said: “We have spoken to the relevant officers who have advised that they have requested for more signage to be put in place to highlight the banned right turn.
“Police Scotland have also advised that they will be carrying out additional enforcement.
“Ultimately the responsibility for traffic management lies with Scottish Power.”
