There is congestion on the Edinburgh bypass this morning as queues build on the A720 East bound between Hermiston Gait and Baberton and West bound between GIlmerton and Dreghorn.
Traffic is moving slowly in both directions and drivers are urged to take care leaving extra time for their journey.

There are also reports of heavy traffic on the M8 west bound between junction two and junction one holding traffic up.
There is so far no reports of a collision or reason for the hold up but more as we get it.
