A Jet2 flight heading to Edinburgh Airport declared an emergency after a passenger took unwell.
The medical emergency t ook place on Thursday afternoon.
Flight LS776 was due to arrive in the capital at around 2.45pm but landed 15 minutes early as the passenger needed urgent treatment.
The medical emergency saw mercy crews on standby, Edinburgh Live reports.
Leeds Live reported pilots sounded the 7700 squawk code - used to denote an incident during the journey - as the plane passed over the Yorkshire dales at around 2pm.
Jet 2 confirmed the emergency but did not provide further details surrounding the incident in a statement.
A spokesperson said: "A customer onboard the flight required medical assistance."
Edinburgh Airport has been contacted for comment on the incident.
