An Edinburgh street was locked down on Sunday after police shut off the road to deal with a late night incident.
A huge emergency response had raced to Lochend Road South in the east of the capital at around 9pm on Sunday, December 11, before officers had put a cordon in place.
Stretching back for some distance, over five emergency vehicles could be seen parked behind the cordon, as well as a series of both uniformed and armed officers.

The cause of the incident is currently unclear.

Closed for some time on Sunday evening, the section of Lochend Road South has now reopened. Police Scotland were contacted for comment.
