A large armed police response has been spotted in Edinburgh as officers have locked down the area near a busy public park.
Three police 4x4's containing an armed response unit and multiple other vehicles were spotted near Roseburn Park on Thursday afternoon, September 8.
The cause for concern is currently unknown at this time, but it is understood an incident occurred on Riverdale Crescent.

It is understood that a local nursery was advised of the ongoing incident around 3pm as a large emergency response was spotted in the area.
Edinburgh Live understands that Police gathered outside a Scotmid supermarket on Roseburn Terrace, although it is unclear if there have been any injuries following the serious incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a disturbance on Riverside Crescent, Edinburgh, around 12.55pm on Thursday, 8 September, 2022.
“Officers attended and a man was traced nearby in Roseburn Terrace, Edinburgh
“There were no reports of any injuries and a 51-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection.
“He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday, 9 September, 2022.
“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
