Edinburgh residents are already planning their next winter getaway as extra flights have been added to Edinburgh Airport's catalogue of routes.
Holiday provider Jet2 and Jet2holidays have announced they are launching an expanded Winter Sun programme on sale from Edinburgh Airport for Winter 23/24. Scottish summers don't feel to last long and for those seeking sunnier skies, seats are on sale to many destinations across the Mediterranean and Canary Islands from Edinburgh Airport.
In yet more good news, for those who are keen to hit the slopes, the Jet2's Ski and City Winter 23/24 destinations going on sale from Edinburgh Airport will be announced next month too.

With 11 popular Winter Sun destinations going on sale from the capital there are extra flights to the Canary Islands (Tenerife and Lanzarote), giving customers and independent travel agents fantastic choice and flexibility when it comes to booking or enjoying some Winter Sun.
Scots can look forward to a winter sun getaway with 17 weekly Jet2 services to the Canary Islands (including Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura) from Edinburgh Airport next winter.
The other Winter Sun destinations going on sale for Winter 23/24 from the base include Spain (Malaga and Alicante), Majorca (Palma) , Turkey (Antalya), Portugal (Faro and Madeira) and Cyprus (Paphos). Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are offering nearly 30 flights per week to these destinations from Edinburgh Airport with multiple weekly and even daily services available during winter from early-November through to the end of April.
The full breakdown is as follows:
- Tenerife (up to seven weekly services – with daily services operating in Winter 23/24)
- Lanzarote (up to five weekly services)
- Gran Canaria (up to three weekly services)
- Fuerteventura (up to two weekly services)
- Malaga (up to two weekly services)
- Alicante (up to two weekly services)
- Palma (up to two weekly services)
- Antalya (up to two weekly services)
- Faro (up to two weekly services)
- Madeira (weekly services)
- Paphos (weekly services)
