Edinburgh is set to see new connections with Toronto as a series of new flights are launched in the summer.
WestJet, a Canadian airline, have released their new schedule for 2022, which has confirmed a new pathway between Toronto and Edinburgh Airport.
Hoping to restore its routes to pre-pandemic levels, WestJet will be running flights to the Scottish capital, as well as Glasgow, Dublin, London Gatwick and Barcelona.

Beginning from June 2, the Edinburgh route will be running three times a week, with the Glasgow flight running four times a week to Toronto.
As travel rules ease coming into Scotland and the UK, many travel services are set to increase as tourism gets ready to begin a full recovery.
Speaking about the announcement, John Weatherill, WestJet's Chief Commercial Officer, said: "Our guests have long awaited a return to international travel,"
"These routes create a significant visitor pipeline from Europe and demonstrate WestJet's commitment to leading the travel and tourism industry's recovery."

It comes as new travel updated have been announced that will see all remaining coronavitus mitigations for UK arrivals scrapped
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps confirmed this week that all Covid testing requirements for everyone arriving to the UK will be lifted.
This means no matter what your vaccine status, you no longer need a Covid test to enter England.
Passenger locator forms will also no longer be required from 4am March 18.
