Edinburgh Airport jobs update including positions with salaries starting at £55k

Edinburgh Airport has announced that it is seeking to fill new positions with people "looking for a change of scenery".

The airport took to its social accounts to reveal that it is looking for new staff amid a busy summer season with people across Scotland and the UK jetting off for some sun.

It said that it was hiring a new web developer to help build its new eCommerce platform. However, there are a range of jobs available suiting a variety of skillsets.

Writing on their Facebook account, Edinburgh Airport said: "Tech Savvy and looking for a change of scenery? Come join us at the airport!

"We are currently looking for an experienced web developer to join our team and help develop our eCommerce platform."

Web Developer

Salary: Between £45,000 to £55,000

What they say: "The Software Engineering team is a small, distributed team of highly-skilled engineers who work across the entire stack. We're looking for someone who can bring their knowledge and experience to the team and who will get involved in generating product & feature ideas, launching prototypes and MVPs, AB testing changes and then launching these products and features to production."

Digital Support Manager

Salary: £32,891 rising to £35,908 after 6 months

What they say: "We're looking for a team player who is good with customers and technology and will help formalise our service offering by taking ownership of the support of our digital products. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team including product, engineering and commercial working together on building products and bringing them to market."

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

What they say: "The role will be primarily focused on ensuring complete and accurate billing across the 60+ varied income streams at Edinburgh Airport, covering all operations throughout the airport campus. The role will also incorporate providing cross-cover to the Accounts Payable function."

Airside Support Unit Operative

Salary: £24,184.50 plus shift allowance of £435

What they say: "Reporting to the ASU Team Leader, the ASU Operative is responsible for providing a great service, by providing an efficient coaching operation to all airport users, as well as working interactively with the Duty Team."

What they say: "A key member of the transaction team within the wider Finance team at Edinburgh Airport Limited (EAL), the Accounts Payable Supervisor will work closely with the EAL’s Procurement Department, Finance Manager and IT Department as well as having exposure to a wide variety of payables approvers and requisitioners."

What they say: "This is a broad and highly visible role that requires an individual of the highest calibre. The position will require extensive interaction with all parts of the business and demands a ‘can-do’ individual who is comfortable leading assurance reviews from the front, coordinating the activities of an external co-sourcing audit partner and presenting key findings and recommendation to senior management including the Audit & Risk Committee and the Board."
