Edinburgh Airport has warned travellers that roads will be "busier than normal" this weekend.
People jetting off for some summer sun this Sunday have been urged to "plan ahead" to ensure they don't miss their flight. This is because the Scottish Festival of Motoring is being held at the Royal Highland Centre.
With people across Scotland jetting off for some summer sun this month, travellers should already be prepared for queues at the airport. Therefore, being late as a result of traffic could have major consequences.

"Make sure you’re in pole position and plan ahead as the roads around the airport are expected to be busier than normal!"
The Scottish Festival of Motoring is a one-day event that showcases a variety of vehicles, including classic and vintage cars and motorcycles. It will also feature a dedicated kids zone, as well as a trade village and supercar passenger experiences.

Earlier this week, Edinburgh Airport issued advice to help passengers 'get through security quickly'. With potential road delays this weekend, it would be a good idea to read up on how to pass through security as efficiently as possible.
It also announced that it was looking to fill a number of full-time positions, with some salaries starting at £55,000.
