An Edinburgh driver who saw their vehicle flipped onto its roof on a busy main road just outside the city centre has handed over his licence to police.
On Tuesday, we reported how a section of the A1 outside Queen Margaret University was closed due to the crash which saw one vehicle on its roof, causing huge delays and disruption for traffic in the area.
Several Lothian Buses were diverted as a result and motorists reported seeing 'chaos' with vehicles turning at the last minute to avoid being stuck in tailbacks.

Police Scotland's road policing officers attended the incident and discovered that the driver of the vehicle was uninsured and also had trouble with their vision, failing a roadside eye test.
They noted that the driver was also uninjured, but handed over their license to officers.
Posting a picture of the incident on Twitter, showing the car on its roof in the middle of the dual carriageway, Road Policing Scotland added: "DalkeithRP attended a vehicle on its roof on the A1. The driver was uninjured & subject to a roadside eye test.
"Officers discovered the driver could only read a registration plate from a distance of 3.05m (requirement is 20m). Driving licence was surrendered & DVLA notified."
The road was closed for over an hour while officers removed the vehicle safely.
The incident occurred on the temporary road that was made while ongoing construction works either side of the A1 are ongoing, building a new Queen Margaret University campus.
