Ederson is the latest Manchester City player to reveal he predicted winning the Champions League before the 2022/23 season even started.
City fended off a title challenge from Arsenal to win their third-straight Premier League and added the FA Cup by winning the final against local rivals Manchester United. The Blues followed it up with a nervy Champions League final win over Inter Milan in Istanbul to secure a first-ever European Cup.
Ederson was the hero late on in the final as he denied Romelu Lukaku from close range after Rodri's goal and punched Robin Gosens' goalbound header clear with the final touch of the game.
The Brazilian sank to the turf at full time and was mobbed by his teammates. Ederson was part of the City squad who partied back in Manchester in a rain-soaked parade through the city centre.

Speaking during a family holiday to the UAE, Ederson told the National how his emotional reaction at full-time in Istanbul was in part due to a prediction he made before the season even started that City would finally win the Champions League.
“Honestly, after the Champions League final, I was crying with happiness," he said. "It’s been so difficult for the players, we’ve been trying every year to win this competition and it’s been a long time.
"This year, I made a note in my phone that we will win the Champions League and I thought we would do it, but there’s no way to expect the treble.
“We’re so happy it came this way, we’ve made history for the club and it’s incredible for this country too. People have asked how it feels to be a treble-winner, but to me it’s something that I’ll remember more in 10, 20 years’ time.”
