Eden Hazard opens up on his Real Madrid future amid persistent Chelsea transfer rumours

Eden Hazard has played down speculation he will be leaving Real Madrid after the UEFA Champions League final, saying it is still his 'dream' to play for the Spanish champions.

Hazard has spent the majority of this three years in Spain battling injury problems, having completed a move from Chelsea in 2019 for £89million. In his seven years at Stamford Bridge, the Belgian won two league titles, an FA Cup, two UEFA Europa League's and a Carabao Cup across 350 appearances.

But since joining Real, Hazard has been limited to just 66 games in three years and speculation has grown that he could seek an exit to end his injury nightmare in the Spanish capital. But speaking ahead of Saturday's final against Liverpool in Paris, Hazard has put to bed any talk of a summer exit and reiterated that he wans to show everyone what he can do at the Bernabeu.

“The coach knows that I still have a contract until 2024," Hazard told HLN. "My first three seasons at Real have not gone well, so I want to show everyone what I can do. Starting with this Saturday. It has always been a dream to play for Real. It still is.”

Should Hazard and his team-mates get the job done this weekend, Chelsea will be due another set of add-ons after receiving £20million last season when Real Madrid won La Liga and qualified for the Champions League.
