Eden Hazard has questioned Carlo Ancelotti's "trust" in him as he vented his frustration at a lack of football this season.
The Belgian attacker came off the bench against Celtic in the Champions League and turned in an impressive showing as a makeshift striker. He scored one and laid on another as Real Madrid overcame a resilient Parkhead side to pick up a 3-0 win in their opening game.
Hazard might have been hoping to use it as a launching off point but he's still yet to complete an hour of football in La Liga. He started their following game against Mallorca but was left unused on the bench for the Madrid derby last weekend, with Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr given turns to lead the line instead. And Hazard, captained Belgium to a win over Wales last night, insists he's "giving everything" - and is frustrated he's not being rewarded with minutes on the pitch.
He said: "If Carlo Ancelotti trusts me? You have to ask him the question, when you see him you will ask him. I want to play. It was complicated times, because I want to play, but I don't play. I give everything, I want to be on the pitch.
“I feel good at Real Madrid, it's just that I play less, he said. When I play, I play well. It's a tricky situation. I want to play more, I know I can bring more. By picking up the pace, I will come back (to my best level), but I just have to play."
