Jamie Redknapp has told Eddie Howe that Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson are both "lovely options" for him to bring off the bench after he rotated the pair for his side's Premier League clash with West Ham.
Wilson returned to Newcastle's starting XI to take on West Ham at the London Stadium as Isak was named among the substitutes for Wednesday night's game. And the England international repaid his manager's faith after just six minutes.
A brilliant cross from Allan Saint-Maximin picked out Wilson inside the area as he guided a superb header past Lukasz Fabianski to open the scoring. Howe's decision was immediately vindicated as his forward wheeled away in jubilation at the London Stadium.

Speaking ahead of kick-off, Redknapp admitted that the ability to rotate the pair will allow the Newcastle boss to play to the strengths of each striker when required, something that he believes will serve Howe well for the run-in.
He told Sky Sports: "At 60-70 minutes, that’s what you need as a manager - you need options. When Callum was at Bournemouth I watched him a lot and there were elements of Isak right now.
"Alexander Isak wants to run the channels but Callum now wants the ball to feet. When he was a young player at Bournemouth he would be happy to run into spaces and turn teams - he had unbelievable pace. Now you see him operate more in the box and looking to get in between the posts to get these little tap-ins and obviously getting goals.
"To have players of this ilk that you can bring on and change the game, lovely options for him."
