Eddie Howe has signed a new long-term contract at St James' Park after the club announced his deal on the eve of the new season.
Howe was contracted until 2024 but now has the security of a longer deal after making the move north following a successful first season in charge. In his first campaign he pulled Newcastle away from the relegation zone and into 11th place.
Howe said: "It's a great feeling to commit my future to this incredible club. I'm extremely proud to be the head coach of Newcastle United and have enjoyed every moment here.
