Eddie Howe has revealed he will not stand in any player's way if they believe they have a better future elsewhere. But has indicated that any new deals or contract extensions must be the "right terms" for Newcastle United.
The Magpies are currently negotiating with soon to be out of contract players such as Paul Dummett, Sean Longstaff and Fabian Schar while others are eyeing contract extensions to existing deals with a clutch of players signed up until 2023. Howe feels he currently has a group of players who want to remain together.
Howe told Chronicle Live: "I would never stand in any player's way if they felt their future was elsewhere. I don't think it's helpful, for you, them or the club.
