Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that Liverpool's bid for Alexander Isak was rejected amid reports the club have beaten Manchester United to the signing of Benjamin Sesko.
It was revealed on Friday that the Premier League champions finally lodged their first offer for the striker, reportedly worth around £110million. It was dismissed immediately, falling far short of the reported asking price of £150m.
