As Newcastle United celebrate a tremendous achievement upon qualifying for the Champions League, Eddie Howe is already craving more.
The Magpies boss has never shied away from the fact he wants to take this team to the very top and he will likely get the chance to try do just that after an incredible 18-month stint in charge on Tyneside. Howe was 90 minutes away from ending Newcastle's trophy hoodoo this season and will aim to go one step further next term as the club battle on both a domestic and continental front.

"It’s an amazing achievement, an amazing thing in terms of where we’ve come from in such a short space of time. But it feels difficult to celebrate it like you’ve won a league or something like that. It’s right up there, of course it is. It’s an amazing thing at a very special club."
He added: "I want success massively for this football club. We'll enjoy tonight, but we want to bring silverware here if we can in the future."
Howe, his players and his staff enjoyed a lap of honour at full-time, soaking in the applause and celebrations from all four corners of St James' Park. Co-owners Amanda Staveley, Mehrdad Ghodoussi and Jamie Reuben were also all present for the final home game of the campaign and showed their appreciation at full-time.
"It feels amazing. To share that moment with the supporters at the end there. I'm proud of everyone connected with the club. The whole squad with their families, great memories."
