Eddie Hearn revealed he wore a bowtie for Katie Taylor's fight against Amanda Serrano because of a Madison Square Garden superstition.
During an interview with Taylor hosted by Ariel Helwani, Hearn made an appearance at MSG as he discussed the reason for his outfit on the night.
The Matchroom promoter only wore a bow tie twice before, with the first time being Anthony Joshua v Andy Ruiz at MSG in 2019.

However, despite Joshua's loss on the night, Taylor won against Delfine Persoon so Hearn decided to tempt fate once more.
"I've only worn it twice, the first night when Anthony Joshua boxed Andy Ruiz and Katie boxed Persoon. Katie won, AJ got beat," said Hearn.
"I remember walking through here and I just took my bow tie off and thought 'I am never wearing a bow tie again in my life.'
"So, when Katie boxed Serrano here and we sold it out I thought to myself 'you should wear a bow tie and tux' and I was like 'no, don't' cause obviously it's bad luck, bad vibes."
Hearn was hopeful that the bow tie would have a positive impact on the result of the super fight.
However, the 43-year-old suggested the bow tie could make a return once more when Taylor boxes Chantelle Cameron in Dublin next month.
"I remembered she won that night so I'm putting the bow tie back on. It's funny what goes through your mind, I'm sitting there saying 'please, if she doesn't get this decision...'
"I might wear one at the 3Arena."
