Ed Sheeran ticket resale prices plummet after Macklemore exit, all while Philadelphian pro-Palestine group schedules protest outside stadium

Resale ticket prices for Ed Sheeran‘s upcoming concert in Philadelphia have seen a sharp decline following the announcement that Macklemore is being dropped from the tour, TMZ reported. This shift comes as a pro-Palestine group in Philadelphia prepares to stage a protest outside the stadium where the performance is scheduled to take place this Saturday.

The data provided by TicketData shows that the get-in price for the Philadelphia show has dropped by 24% since Monday, moving from $126 down to $96. This specific drop is notable because it exceeds the typical price fluctuations observed during this tour. Across all remaining dates, resale prices have dipped by 11% since Monday. It is worth noting that every opening act for the tour has quit following the departure of Macklemore, who was removed after making pro-Palestine remarks.
