Ed Sheeran refuses to go on popular ITV show despite being a fan

Ed Sheeran has ruled out ever appearing on a popular ITV show, despite admitting it "looks fun".

The award-winning singer will appear on The Jonathan Ross show on Saturday night (April 1). Viewers watching at home will see Ed discuss his latest album, and what inspired the tracks on it.

Appearing on the sofa, alongside Lily Allen, Russell Crowe, Michael Bublé and Desiree Burch, Ed tells Jonathan about his friendship with Sir Elton John.

Speaking about the musical legend, Ed said: "He’s done everything, good and bad. He’s someone with a wealth of experience. He normalises these things. I find Elton a fantastic person and I’m honoured to be in his sphere.”

Ed also told Jonathan his thoughts on appearing in I'm a Celebrity... Get Me out of Here! He said: "The one I would do is probably I’m A Celebrity… it looks quite fun.

"Genuinely. It looks fun. If I had time off, you go in a jungle with a bunch of people you sort of know… I’m not going to do it [though]."

Elsewhere on the show, Lily Allen discusses how she met her husband David Harbour, and Russell Crowe rules out a Gladiator sequel.

The Jonathan Ross Show airs Saturday at 9.40pm on ITV and ITVX
